Sealing wall to sandstone-floor connecting joints with OTTOSEAL® S 70

This video seminar shows the correct sealing of wall to sandstone-floor connecting joints.

If you use silicone sealants suitable for use with natural stone – like our OTTOSEAL® S 70 – you can avoid ugly stains around the edges of the slabs – the so-called migratory staining.

Steps

First mask the working area with a suitable masking tape.

Backfill the hollow space in the joint with the correctly sized OTTOCORD PE-B2 back-up foam rod.
Now pre-treat the flanks of the joint with OTTO Primer 1102 using the cloth.

Apply OTTOSEAL® S 70evenly to the joint.

To smooth the surface of the joint, you pour the OTTO marble and silicone smoothing agent into a plastic cup, moisten the OTTO Fugenfux in the liquid and then drag the Fugenfux evenly across the joint.

For floor joints, follow the same procedure as for the wall to floor connecting joints.
