Bonding of hobs & glass ceramics

Silicone products with a particularly high viscosity and a very high thermal resistance are well-suited for visible joints on glass ceramic hobs in order to achieve a uniform appearance. They achieve excellent bonding characteristics on smooth materials, especially glass ceramic, metal or enamel.

Our 2-component silicone adhesives reduce the handling time and curing time to a minimum for bonding hobs and glass ceramics. Our adhesives are therefore temperature resistant to the maximum, compatible with metal surfaces (including coated surfaces) and also adhere to almost all standard materials without a primer.

Bonding of ovens and steam cookers

Both 1-component silicones as well as 2-component silicones are suitable for different areas on ovens and steam cookers. Adhesives and sealants ensure the necessary cohesion at different points. On stoves, for example, on angle brackets, panels and control knobs, but also on ceramic hobs or when bonding the glass ceramics into the worktop.

Our products bond reliably and safely, depending on the requirement, with different curing times and even at temperatures of up to 285°C.

Bonding of microwaves & small appliances

It doesn’t always have to be big – small appliances also receive the necessary cohesion with OTTO products. For microwaves, the bonding of the glass fronts in particular is crucial.

What ingredients are to baked goods, silicone is to baking dishes. They are ideal for coating baking dishes and baking sheets thanks to their heat resistance and release properties. Sealants make baking simpler and better.

Bonding of professional cooking equipment and commercial kitchen equipment

Just like in the household appliance industry, elastic bonding with silicone adhesives and sealants has been established in the production of commercial kitchen equipment in restaurants for many decades. Otto products for industrial sealing, bonding and coating are now indispensable in the modern series production of steam cookers, industrial dishwashers or fume hoods.
