With our integrated management system and an organisational structure with clearly defined responsibilities, we have integrated sustainability and thus the implementation of the sustainability strategy into all our processes.
Our social responsibility is geared towards respecting human and labour rights within our own company and in our external business relationships. We ensure a safe and healthy working environment and strengthen the physical and mental health of our employees. This is the basis for an agile and efficient organisation.
Our aim is to have as little impact on the environment as possible, to use resources responsibly, to avoid waste and emissions and to minimise our impact on nature. We not only develop modern products for the world of tomorrow, but also pioneering product and technology solutions.
EcoVadis is the globally recognised Standard for sustainability ratings. The rating model comprises 21 criteria in four areas: environment, labour and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement. We have participated annually since 2023: After achieving Silver in 2023 and 2024 and earning the Gold Medal in 2025, we are especially proud to have once again received the Gold Medal in 2026. This puts us among the top 5% of more than 150,000 companies rated worldwide.
These sustainability ratings are based on international standards such as the ten principles of the UN Global Compact, the conventions of the International Labour Organisation (ILO), the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standard and the ISO 26000 standard. They provide a fact-based analysis of performance and a practical roadmap for continuous improvement.
In 2025, we continued to drive our sustainability initiatives forward consistently and integrated them even more deeply into our processes. The focus was on implementation across the entire value chain, with particular emphasis on collaboration with our suppliers to strengthen sustainability standards. At the same time, measures were implemented in the areas of climate, resource and circular economy, and we accelerated the roll-out of our Healthy living MY GREEN HOME products. Being awarded the EcoVadis Gold Medal confirms our commitment to embedding sustainability holistically throughout the company.
OTTO aims to achieve its corporate and strategic goals in accordance with generally recognised ethical and social principles. Professionalism and responsible conduct of each individual employee shapes the image and value of our company among customers, business partners and the public, who expect us to behave responsibly and lawfully in every respect.
OTTO has systematically transitioned its entire electricity supply to 100% certified green electricity. This allows us to significantly reduce our Scope 2 emissions and make a measurable contribution to the decarbonization of our sites.
For our customers, this means clear and reliable Product Carbon Footprints (PCFs) for OTTO products, as well as greater transparency throughout the entire supply chain.
