This accessibility statement applies to the website of Hermann Otto GmbH published at otto-chemie.de.

The Hermann Otto GmbH website enables users to find out about products and services, get in touch and place orders or make bookings directly online.

Based on this review, the website is partially accessible in accordance with the aforementioned requirements.

Specifically, the following points are not fully compatible with the accessibility regulations applicable to us:

  • Barrier: A link leads to a PDF file (.pdf) without the file type or file size being indicated.
  • Barrier: Redundant title text for an element.
  • Barrier: Unclear or meaningless link text for a link.
  • Barrier: A section of text is underlined even though it is not a clickable link.
  • Barrier: Redundant adjacent links with identical destinations.
  • Barrier: Justified text in a longer section of text.
  • Barrier: Skipped heading level in the document structure.
  • Barrier: A form field is linked to multiple <label> elements.
  • Barrier: A table is used solely for layout purposes, even though its Contents are not tabular.
  • Barrier: Missing field grouping for a group of selection fields (checkboxes or radio buttons).
  • Barrier: Missing assignment of a label to a form field.
  • Barrier: Some form fields do not have correctly assigned text labels.
  • Barrier: Some headings are empty or do not contain descriptive text.
  • Barrier: Some links are empty or do not contain text, making their destination or function unrecognisable.

Planned approach to dealing with the barriers mentioned

We are already working on removing these barriers.

Note on PDF files

Some PDF documents provided on the website (e.g. operating instructions, declarations of conformity, energy labels, certificates) are currently not fully accessible.

These files have some structural and technical limitations, including missing headings, undefined reading orders, missing alternative text for graphic contents, or untagged tables. This means that they can only be used to a limited extent with assistive technologies.

For organisational and economic reasons, we are currently unable to make all existing PDF documents fully accessible. However, we will endeavour to publish new documents in an accessible format in future, as far as possible.

If you require a specific document in an accessible format, please contact us. We will be happy to provide you with an individually accessible version, as far as we are able to do so.

Addendum to the accessibility statement

Our website offers the AccessGO accessibility plugin (www.accessgo.de) from DGfB Deutsche Gesellschaft für Barrierefreiheit mbH.

This allows users to adapt our website to their individual limitations or preferences.

The settings can be accessed via the AccessGO icon or alternatively via the key combination ‘ALT + 1’. All functions can also be controlled using the keyboard.

Among other things, this makes it possible to adjust the following aspects:

  • Font size
  • Contrast
  • Highlighting of links
  • Activation of a screen reader
  • Use of profiles to activate multiple settings simultaneously.
