For joints with silicone avoid direct contact with materials containing bitumen and releasing plasticisers such as butyl, EPDM, neoprene, insulating and black coatings etc. It is a general rule that when using the recommended primer the self-adhesion of the products on the surfaces mentioned is substantially improved. In view of the differing working conditions in the construction industry it is recommended to check the expedience of the planned work tasks and the material quantities required in each case by performing a test.
