We are streamlining our tape product line
As part of a product line review, we will be focusing on our tried-and-true OTTO Joint Tape BG1 going forward. Consequently, the previous OTTO Insulation Tape BG2 will therefore be discontinued and will only be available while stocks last.
For you, this primary means: greater clarity when selecting products, as the OTTO Joint Tape BG1 replaces the previous OTTO Insulation Tape BG2 in most applications while simultaneously offering a technically superior solution.

OTTOSEAL® P 720 – We make room for new things
In mid-2026, we will be discontinuing the PU sealant OTTOSEAL® P 720 from our product range. As a high-performance, safe and multi-purpose alternative, we recommend our hybrid sealants for building joints and connection joints.
With OTTOSEAL® M 360 / M 361, you have the access to modern and vertasile OTTO product alternatives that optimally meet current and future requirements in building construction.

There's more to come – higher storage stability with OTTOSEAL® S 27
With immediate effect, we are increasing the storage stability of our OTTOSEAL® S 27 food and drinking water silicone in 310 ml cartridges from 15 to 18 months. As usual, the binding best-before date is printed directly on the cartridge.

Optimisation of the OTTOTAPE range
We regularly review our range for potential improvements in order to make the storage and use of our OTTO products as easy and efficient as possible for you, the user, while maintaining the usual high quality. We are therefore delighted to announce that we have been able to optimise our OTTOTAPE range.

OTTOTAPE E-40-I has been removed from the range and, at the same time, the possible applications of our OTTOTAPE D-25-I have been expanded. This means that you will be able to carry out all your applications with just one tape in future.

The special turbo acrylic sealant OTTOSEAL® A 220 is perfect for time-saving work and immediate painting with standard emulsion paints. Its high degree of whiteness makes it the perfect choice for all connection joints in interior construction on walls and ceilings, for example between walls and door frames or above skirting boards.

OTTOSEAL® S 27 in accordance with updated silicone transition recommendation
The German Federal Environment Agency has revised the evaluation criteria for the silicone transition recommendation and adapted the KTW-BWGL guideline for materials that come into contact with drinking water.
OTTOSEAL® S 27 in the colours C00 transparent and C01 white meets all requirements of the new silicone transition recommendation for use in contact with drinking water, including DIN EN 16421 (formerly DVGW-W270).
The test for safety in contact with food (ISEGA Forschungs- und Untersuchungs-Gesellschaft mbh, Aschaffenburg) includes all colours.
In this context, the primer table in the technical data sheet has also been updated: OTTO Primer 1218 is now replaced by OTTO Primer 1216 for ‘Ceramics, unglazed in continuously wet or underwater areas’.
This ensures that you achieve optimum processing results.
Important: You can recognise the optimised OTTOSEAL® S 27 by the best before date from September 2026 printed on the cartridge.
