The EMICODE® labelling system allows to evaluate and compare building products and installation materials based on their emission behaviour. At the same time it provides an incentive to continuously optimise the products.
The Environmental Product Declaration is a Type III environmental declaration. This means that quantitative information from the life cycle of a product can be compared with other products that fulfil the same function. This ecolabel also serves as a data basis for the environmental life cycle and/or energy consumption assessment of a building.
